OUR TEACHERS

 

RANDY WHITE

      Randy is an Elder (and interim administrative Pastor) at Pleasanton Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA.  He was born in Castro Valley, CA and grew up in Hayward. He became a Christian when in high school and married his high school sweetheart in 1981. They have four married daughters and seven grandchildren.
      Randy and his wife served as missionaries in Dublin, Ireland for 11 years. In addition to being an Elder at Valley Bible Church he is retired from the Hayward Police Department, formerly a dispatch supervisor. 

      He loves to track the weather, loves the San Francisco Giants and swimming.  His favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 3:5 - "Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."

CHARLIE MENG

Charlie is a Pastor on the Teaching Team at Valley Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA.  He was born in Portland, Oregon but has spent the majority of his life in the Bay Area. Over the past twenty years he has served in various ministry roles at Valley Bible Church.  

      Charlie has a deep passion for God’s word and for the effects it produces in the lives of God’s people. 

He currently resides in Livermore with his two kids, Jude and Stella.

NATHAN BAIRD

      Nate is a teaching pastor at Valley Bible Church in Pleasanton, CA.  He and Rita, his wife of 22 years, along with their 9 children currently reside in Livermore where Nathan grew up.

    Nate and Rita met while teaching at Valley Christian High School/Middle School and have lived in the Tri-Valley area since they married in 2002.  They began attending Valley Bible Church 15 years ago and Nathan has served on the pastoral staff for the past 12 years in various ministry capacities.

    Nate loves to help others grasp the deep love and affection of God the Father and to experience the transformed life offered through faith in his Son Jesus by the personal empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

STEVE VARTEBEDIEN

Bible Study Teacher from Rossmoor

​

    Steve is a retired judge who moved to Rossmoor from his hometown of Fresno in February 2023. There he served for many years at the First Armenian Presbyterian Church as an elder (clerk of the Session), adult Bible class teacher, and choir member/soloist.

    He and Marilyn have been married since 1972 and have been blessed with three daughters and four grandchildren. He specially enjoys spending time with the grandkids. Steve also enjoys sports, including playing pickleball and rooting for his favorite teams: the SF Giants, 49ers and Warriors. His favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians; his favorite verse is Philippians 4:8.
